Screws, not adhesive
Every enclosure opens with a single driver. Nothing is clipped in a way that breaks on the way out and nothing is glued at all — which costs about a millimetre of thickness and is the reason any of the rest is possible.
Teardowns on day one
The exploded diagram and the parts list go up when the product ships, not when it is discontinued. If we will not publish how something comes apart, we have not finished designing it.
Parts at cost
Switches, cables, gas cartridges and battery covers are sold at what they cost us plus postage. A spare-parts business that makes money is a business with a reason to make parts fail.

Axiom D2 Dock
The product that makes the argument. Eleven ports in a machined aluminium body, driving two 4K displays at 60 Hz at the same time — a specification most docks at this price quietly do not meet and almost none publish honestly. The fan sits on a connector, the dust filter comes out without tools, and the whole thing opens with four screws. A dock that cooks itself at year three is usually a dock nobody could clean.

What the approach costs and returns
A millimetre thicker, and it outlives the warranty
A device held together with adhesive is a device designed to be replaced, and most of this category is. Ours come apart with a single driver, every internal part carries a number, and the exploded diagram goes on the site the day the product ships rather than never. That has a cost: screws and service covers make a product a millimetre thicker and a few hundred rupees dearer than the glued version of the same thing. What it buys is that a failed switch is a forty-rupee part instead of a new keyboard.
From owners
A switch started chattering in month fourteen. They sent me four spares for the cost of the post and linked the teardown video. Ten minutes. I have thrown away two keyboards for exactly this fault before.
It is the first dock I have owned that genuinely runs two 4K panels at 60 Hz rather than claiming to and delivering 30. The spec sheet named the exact monitors they tested with, which nobody else does.
Replaced the battery myself in year three with a cell from a shop downstairs. There is no other wireless mouse I know of where that sentence is possible.
The arm sagged after two years, which they told me upfront would eventually happen. A new gas cartridge was six hundred rupees and arrived in three days.
